At the World Robot Conference in Beijing, two malfunctions involving humanoid robots were recorded and later shared on social media. In the first case, a robot taking part in a running test gained excessive speed, could not stop or turn, collided with a protective barrier on the track and fell backward as sparks appeared around its waist. In the second case, a robot was filmed lying on the ground repeatedly moving its legs without being able to stop after the remote control that operated it stopped functioning.
