Iran, media Teheran: 2 morti in attacco contro isola di Larak

Two people were killed and two others were injured in a U.S. strike on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. Central Command confirmed the incident. It is the first U.S. strike on Iranian territory in a month. “Today, U.S. forces struck two Iranian launch sites on Larak Island,” where “members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were observed preparing to launch rockets loaded with naval mines,” said Tim Hawkins, a CENTCOM spokesman. Later that night, there was another attack.

The Pasdaran: “We will respond”

Iran has promised a response to the U.S. strike on Larak Island in the Gulf and warned that the United States will be “punished.” In a statement, the Pasdaran denounced “an act of aggression” that they say caused the death and injury of some Iranian military personnel and civilians. “The aggression of the terrorist enemy against Larak Island will receive a response and the aggressor will be punished,” reads the declaration issued by the Pasdaran and reported by the Tasnim agency. “This action will be met with a response by the sons of Islamic Iran,” the Revolutionary Guards concluded.
