Hitler Mussolini diventa sindaco, l’elezione ‘da record’ in Perù

(Adnkronos) – Hitler Mussolini becomes mayor. It is the unusual outcome of the municipal elections in Queropalca, a district in Peru with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants. The vote narrowly favored Mr. Hitler Mussolini Simeon Flores, a candidate of the center-left party Ahora Nación, despite the names shown on the ballots — listed together as Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. The new mayor received 229 votes, 42% of the total, defeating the representative of the Renovación Popular Peru list, who received 204 votes. Third place, just 42 votes behind the winner, went to the party País para Todos with 187 votes.

The triumph of Hitler Mussolini inevitably drew attention in 2026. In fact, his success is not unique. In 2018, also in Peru, a candidate named Hitler prevailed over a candidate named Lenin in a mayoral election in the district of Yungar: in that case Hitler Guesclin Alba Sanchez defeated Lenin Vladimir Rodriguez Valverde. “I’m the good Hitler,” Alba exclaimed. In Namibia last year, Adolf Hitler Uunona won his fifth consecutive local election. “As a child I thought it was a perfectly normal name,” he told the BBC.
