The French government has sent the Commission a new proposal to ban social media for under‐15s after the previous draft was rejected. “After rigorous technical work, the government notifies the Commission of the new wording,” President Macron announced, adding that he hopes the ban will take effect before the end of his second term at the Élysée next spring.
