Officers from the Ukrainian National Anti‐Corruption Bureau (NABU) searched the residences of Iryna Mudra, deputy head of the Presidential Office, and Vadym Stolar, a member of Parliament, as part of an operation targeting an organization that allegedly involves senior officials from President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Office.
According to the Kyiv Independent, NABU is conducting a “special operation to expose a criminal organization, allegedly led by a current and a former Ukrainian MP and involving senior officials of the President’s Office.”
Shortly after the searches, President Zelensky signed a decree removing Iryna Mudra from her position as deputy head of the Presidential Office, the public broadcaster Suspilne reported.
The investigation follows a December case in which NABU accused five MPs from the president’s “Servant of the People” faction of receiving money in exchange for parliamentary votes.
Who is Vadym Stolar
Stolar served in Parliament as a member of the pro‐Russian Opposition Platform — For Life faction until that party was banned after the large‐scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
He now represents the Restoration of Ukraine group, a branch that split from the Opposition Platform — For Life.
The NABU operation brings renewed attention to anti‐corruption efforts in Ukraine and to possible links between certain political figures and circles within President Zelensky’s Office.
