The problem with the name “Artificial Intelligence,” according to Donald Trump, is the name itself — and he wants to change it. While major AI firms debate whether to slow development, the U.S. president has called fears about risks from uncontrolled sector growth unfounded. “There is no alarm, like with climate change,” Trump summarized. He has now mounted a counteroffensive, saying many consider the term “Artificial Intelligence” imprecise and ineffective. A more elegant and accurate label, he suggested, would be “Superior Intelligence” (SI), “Extreme Intelligence” (EI), or “Supreme Intelligence” (SI). He described the proposal as a poll and asked for participation on Truth: “What is the best name for this growing ‘revolution’?”

On his social platform, in a separate post, Trump criticized AI detractors, saying he will not tolerate anything that could hinder the sector’s development and announcing plans to create a dedicated force and appoint an “AI czar.” “We will not hinder or choke off the growth of this incredible industry. Instead, we will protect it, support it and oversee it as it grows. We will also pursue bad actors, which we can do with our existing civil and criminal justice systems. To that end, I am establishing the AI Force, just as I did with the Space Force, which was a major success in my first term. I will announce the AI ‘Czar’ in the near future: time-wasters need not apply; we seek only people with high IQs!” he added. “AI is the next industrial revolution, or the next Internet, but it will be even larger and more impactful, potentially representing up to 25% of our country’s GDP. We are ahead of China and the rest of the world, and I intend to keep it that way,” he concluded.
