Ukraine: media say Kyiv drones struck Russian Engels air base

Russia’s Engels-2 air base in Saratov Oblast was reportedly hit by Ukrainian drones overnight, according to Russian Telegram channels. Photos and videos shared by local residents on social media appear to show a fire at the air base. Telegram war-monitoring channels geolocated the blazes, indicating they originated at the military installation.

Some drones were seen flying over the city of Engels amid reports of explosions and widespread power outages. Fires were also reported in several houses and a residential building in the city, likely caused by drones that were downed.
