The toll of a shooting that took place today in a supermarket in Kyiv is two dead and five injured, including a young girl. A man opened fire, took several people hostage and barricaded himself inside the building, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported on Telegram.
“The attacker” was killed, Ukraine’s Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said. “The KORD special forces of the national police stormed the shop where the attacker was located; he had taken people hostage and fired on police officers during arrest operations,” Klymenko said on Telegram.
